Any communications sent through our secure pages will be encrypted by your browser using the information in our secure certificate. This virtually guarantees that the information you send ROD will be safe from prying eyes on it's trip to our servers. What many people do not know, is that their secure information can then be downloaded from the server to a local machine as unsecured plain text!
Secure information sent to ROD is first encrypted by the visitor's browser* for transport to our servers. Once reaching the designated mailbox, this information is de-crypted by our servers and then immediately re-encrypted using PGP based encryption. We download the PGP encrypted version to our local network mail system where it is de-crypted, read and secured for our records using a local version of PGP encryption.
